NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred under section 5(1), 5(2) of the Right to Information Act, 2005 (Central Act 22 of 2005) and in modification of Notification No. EST/CRI-Act/01/2005-06 dated 20-Sep-2005, Public Information Officers and Assistant Public Information Information Officers are appointed as indicated below in so far as the Karnataka State Sericulture Research and Development Institute is concerned.

Under section 19(1) of the Right to Information Act 2005, the Director and Registrar of the Institute are appointed as the Appellate Authority to exercise the power as provided under the act.

K.S.S.R & D.I, Thalaghattapra, is an autonomous body, registered under Karnataka Registration of Societies Act, 1960. It functions under the memorandum of association and rules and regulations, bye-laws of K.S.S.R & D.I, framed under the said act. However, in case of any shortfall in the rules, KCSR of Govt. of Karnataka are being referred to & implemented from time to time.

There are no documents which come under the control of K.S.S.R & D.I. However,
Administration: Leave registers of staff, vehicle log books, tappal, movement registers, cash books, ledgers, T.A bill register, Pay acquaintance roll, G.C. proceedings, F.C meeting proceedings books, follow-up action files, miscellaneous are maintained
Sub-matter files: Account files, sub-matter files are being maintained
Sec. 4b(vii)
The particulars of any arrangements that exists for consultation with or representation by the members of the Public in relation to the formulation of its policy or implementation thereof.
Consultation arrangements are held with University of Agricultural Sciences,Dharwad and Bangalore, Department of sericulture, Govt. of Karnataka and other research Institutions. The policy matters are also being formulated by conducting the meetings of Governing Council from time to time.

A statement of the boards, councils, committees and other bodies consisting of two or more persons constituted as its part or for the purpose of its advise, and as to whether meetings of their boards, councils, committees and other bodies are open to other public or the minutes of such meeting are accessible for public.
K.S.S.R & D.I, Governing Council, Finance Committee and Annual General Body meeting of the Governing Council for approvals on various subjects are maintained.
